Surviving the Whacko Boss Improve Your Work Life. Increase Your Income. Be more Productive and Satisfied at Work. Feel Happier and more In-Control Is the Boss Driving you Crazy? Are you Suffering from Harassment? Is your Workplace Unpleasant and Making you Physically or Mentally Ill? Have you ever felt like you want to Whack your Boss Because of Harassment? I have been where you are today. The Whackos In my life, I've had all kinds of managers, from a boss who was declared insane to the compulsive micromanager and, worst of all, the manager headed for retirement who didn't want to approve or do anything that might rock the boat. I felt attacked, belittled, unvalued and overwhelmed, sometimes all at the same time. These situations affected my health and well-being and caused a feeling of helplessness and depression that nothing seemed to fix. Life appeared to be nothing but failure due to the constant invalidations and negativity. Is Your Boss Making Your Crazy? Is your boss driving you crazy or harassing you? Is he or she making your miserable, denying you raises and promotions, or micromanaging your every move? Are you happy with your work situation? Do you understand it will not improve unless you do something about it? Would you prefer to look forward to going to work every day? Wouldn't you like to be respected, make more money and go home feeling satisfied at doing a job well done? Do Something About It Well, I realized I could do something about the whacko boss. There were many options, from a simple conversation all the way to finding new employment. What I realized is it takes two to be a victim - the victimizer (the whacko boss) and the victim. I decided to break that crazy dance.
Rescuing Retirement offers a solution to one of America's biggest challenges--and a path to financial security for millions of retirees. Over the next two decades, almost 10,000 Americans will reach retirement age every single day. They deserve to live their older years in dignity. Instead, they will experience a dramatic drop in their standard of living. Our country is on a path that will lead to rates of impoverishment for senior citizens not seen since the Great Depression. The reality is America's retirement system is broken. Rescuing Retirement charts a visionary, bipartisan, and surprisingly simple way to solve this problem:
I wrote this book after spending nearly ten years in Toronto Single Parents Associated. I joined that association when my first wife, Mary, died after being struck by a car in 1965, leaving me with eight- and twelve-year-old daughters. I found help for men in my situation at the time to be woefully weak, with little improvement in the next ten years. A lot of inaccurate ideas were being tossed around and real problems either ignored or glossed over. I hope what I have discovered will be a help to at least some men (and women who want to get a better idea of how men think). Mine is not the only way, but it is a sample of reality for many. About two years after Mary died, I accepted Christ as my Saviour. Without His help it is unlikely I would still be here to tell anybody. About the Author: Donald Dolson was born in 1926.
